Abstract

The workforce based on the National Labor Force Survey (Sakernas) in August 2024 was 155.86 thousand people, an increase of 16.21 thousand people compared to August 2023. The Labor Force Participation Rate (LFPR) increased by 5.7 percentage points compared to August 2023.
The number of employed people in August 2024 was 151.15 thousand, an increase of 16.09 thousand people compared to August 2023. The sector with the largest increase was Services, which grew by 7.95 thousand people.
In August 2024, 61.59 thousand people (40.75 percent) worked in formal activities, an increase of 3.93 percentage points compared to August 2023.
The Open Unemployment Rate (TPT) in August 2024 was 3.02 percent, a decrease of 0.2 percentage points compared to August 2023.
