BPS Sidrap Conducts SAKERNAS February 2026 Training for Enumerators

SIDRAP – BPS-Statistics of Sidenreng Rappang Regency has conducted training for prospective enumerators of the National Labor Force Survey (Survei Angkatan Kerja Nasional or SAKERNAS) for the February 2026 period. The training was held using a hybrid method, combining online and offline sessions from January 19 to 22, 2026.

SAKERNAS is a crucial routine survey conducted by BPS to provide essential data on labor indicators, such as the Unemployment Rate, Labor Force Participation Rate, and various worker characteristics within the Sidenreng Rappang Regency area.

The four-day training was designed to ensure that every prospective enumerator possesses a uniform understanding of the concepts, definitions, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for field data collection. During the online phase, participants focused on mastering the theoretical material and understanding the questionnaires. In contrast, the offline phase involved interview simulations to sharpen communication skills and information-gathering techniques for respondent interaction.

The Head of BPS Sidenreng Rappang Regency emphasized in their briefing that the quality of labor data depends heavily on the integrity and thoroughness of the enumerators in the field. Given the dynamic nature of current economic conditions, enumerators are expected to capture the real-life conditions of the community without bias, ensuring that regional development policies based on this data remain accurately targeted.

In addition to deepening technical knowledge, this training was part of a series of organizational performance reinforcements documented in the BPS Sidrap weekly activity report. With this comprehensive preparation, enumerators are expected to be ready for field deployment to produce accurate, up-to-date, and reliable labor data for Sidenreng Rappang Regency.
