Sidenreng Rappang, June 11, 2025 – The Regional Development Planning, Research, and Innovation Agency (Bapperida) of Sidenreng Rappang Regency successfully convened the Indonesia One Data Forum (Forum Satu Data Indonesia) as part of the government’s continued commitment to strengthening integrated, accurate, and accountable data management practices. This annual forum is a vital step in ensuring that data becomes the backbone of planning, implementation, and evaluation of regional development initiatives.
Held at the Bapperida meeting room, the forum brought together a diverse range of stakeholders directly involved in the local data ecosystem. Participants included Planning Subdivision Heads (Kasubag Perencanaan) from various Regional Apparatus Organizations (Organisasi Perangkat Daerah/OPD) as data producers, the Department of Communication and Informatics (Diskominfo) as walidata (data custodian), Bapperida as the overall data coordinator, and the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) as the designated data advisor.
This inclusive collaboration is expected to foster stronger synergy among local government institutions in improving the management and utilization of sectoral data.
Key Agendas and Focus Areas
The 2025 Indonesia One Data Forum in Sidrap focused on four strategic agenda items that are essential for building a solid regional data governance framework:
Each of these points plays a crucial role in the operationalization of the Satu Data Indonesia (One Data Indonesia) initiative at the regency level. Through clear planning and standardized procedures, the local government aims to improve the quality, availability, and usability of data to support data-driven decision-making.
Legal Mandates and Strategic Relevance
The One Data Indonesia Forum is held annually as mandated by Presidential Regulation No. 39 of 2019 concerning One Data Indonesia, and further reinforced by Regent Regulation No. 4 of 2022 in Sidenreng Rappang. These regulations emphasize the need for structured and standardized data governance across all levels of government to support transparency, efficiency, and accountability in public administration.
The forum also reflects the growing understanding that reliable data is a key asset in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and ensuring equitable development. By strengthening coordination between data producers, custodians, and users, Sidrap Regency is taking proactive steps toward becoming a data-smart region.
Toward a Culture of Collaboration and Data Sharing
One of the most important outcomes of this forum is the reaffirmation of shared responsibility among all stakeholders. Bapperida, Diskominfo, OPDs, and BPS each play a specific but interconnected role in the successful implementation of One Data Indonesia. The forum encouraged open dialogue, identification of current data gaps, and opportunities for technical assistance and capacity building.
It is hoped that through such inclusive and recurring engagements, the Sidrap local government can nurture a stronger culture of collaboration, data sharing, and evidence-based planning that supports the aspirations of the region and its citizens.
Looking Forward
As the next steps, Bapperida and its partners will begin implementing the action plan outlined in the forum, including technical coordination sessions, updating data inventory systems, and preparing for the EPSS evaluation. These actions aim to ensure that all government programs and policies in Sidrap are built upon a strong, integrated data foundation.
Through the Indonesia One Data Forum, Sidenreng Rappang continues to move forward in building an accountable, efficient, and transparent government—empowered by data.
